The snowberry keeps its berries throughout the winter and you might see some thrushes and grosbeaks snacking on them. On a gloomy winter day the white and gray landscape was suddenly transformed when a European robin landed in the snowberry plant. When it performed its beautiful melodious song I knew immediately this would become a painting.
