Description
Wonderful vintage Hawaiian puka shell necklace. C. 1970s. The necklace has 100% natural puka shells that are well matched and all In a tiny 6.2 mm in diameter. (Measured with caliper) It is on original nylon beading line and has original silver tone barrel clasp.
These shells have natural holes, great wear from the ocean and sand and are bleached white by the sun. They need to be cleaned with a soft brush. I have learned that collectors like them as found, so I have left them as such.
Necklace is 14 1/2" long. Choker length, Weight: 20 grams. Fine, collectible and valuable necklace.
