Description
Vintage 1950s sterling silver earrings made in Mexico. The screw backs are marked alpaca and not sterling. I tested the drops with acid and they are sterling. The turquoise is reconstituted and typical of the 1940s stones that we see in tourist shop jewelry. These were likely sold at a souvenir shop at a border town. The stones are chalk from age. They are 1 5/8” long. Weight: 4.1 grams.
