Vintage Sterling silver pendant and chain necklace. The pendant is large with very nice appliqué work. It is a poison or vinaigrette pendant...or a locket. The large golden tiger's eye stone is mounted to a hinged lid that opens to reveal a reliquary where one can hide something. Typically it would be a piece of cotton soaked in perfume. If to be used as a locket the photo area is 7/8" by 3/4". The pendant measures 2" by 1 5/8". The pendant is also a pin. The pin on the back has a locking clasp and the lock is hard for me to operate. Rather sticky. The chain is 18" long. Made in Mexico and hallmarked as such. Weight: 30.2 grams.
