Antique 10k yellow gold brooch. It isn’t with a very fine hand carved Italian cameo. The carver used the natural color of the shell accents and contour such as the blush of the cheeks. The carving is in deep relief and patina accents the design. The subject is Diana also known as Artemis. One must not clean this piece. Cameo is not signed.
The setting is a lovely hand engraved frame. Locking clasp marked 10k. With frame it is 1 7/8” by 1 1/2”. Weight: 9.6 grams.
